The minimum age is 18 years

Fees  Full Tuition and Accommodation fees must be received four weeks before the course starts. Please remember that payment by bank transfer may take up to 10 days to reach our account. All bank charges must be paid by the student. Tuition and Accommodation fees do not include travel, additional social activities, external exam fees or insurance.

Payment Method All fees are payable in pounds sterling. The payment can be made by BANK TRANSFER, via Bank of Scotland or CHEQUE. The details of our bank are printed below. These can easily be ‘cut and pasted’ into your online banking service. Alternatively you can print out this page and take the details into your local bank.

Cancellation If you cancel before your course starts, we will refund any course fees paid less the deposit. If you cancel as a result of a visa refusal,  we will refund any fees paid less a cancellation charge of £195 on production of the visa refusal letter from the embassy. This only applies if we receive notice of cancellation before the course start date. If accommodation has been booked, then the accommodation cancellation charges will apply (see below). For courses of up to 8 weeks duration, tuition fees are not refundable once the course has started. For courses of more than 8 weeks, a refund will be made for the unused weeks less a cancellation fee of £195 only if we receive written notification three weeks in advance of cancellation date. For students who have used an enrolment letter from us to obtain a visa, no tuition refunds will be given under any circumstances.

Accommodation All students requiring Miles Ahead Learning Student Services to arrange their accommodation will be charged an accommodation arrangement fee (£40). This must be paid in advance together with the course deposit and is non-refundable. Accommodation fees are payable to the Agent and are never to be paid directly to the residence or host family. If your accommodation involves extra days, you will be charged a daily rate for up to three days. More than three days will be charged at the full weekly rate (not applicable for hotel accommodation). Accommodation is booked from Sunday to Saturday. Special arrangments may be possible for other arrival dates.  If you want to change or cancel your accommodation, you must inform Miles Ahead Learning Student Services no later than the Friday eight days prior to the change or cancellation date. If changes or cancellations are received with less than eight days notice, a cancellation charge of one week’s accommodation will be payable.

Extensions If you wish to extend your course you may do so, provided there is a place available. Extensions must be paid in full before a place can be reserved. Please note it may not be possible to continue  in the same accommodation.

Liability Miles Ahead Learning Student Services and the language school or college do not accept any liability in the case of illness, accident, loss or damage to personal effects or property. We recommend all students to take out insurance before leaving their home country.

Damages Students have to pay for any damage they cause on the school premises or at their accommodation.
