Homestay

FOR THE BEST CHOICE OF SCHOOLS AND STUDENT ACCOMMODATION IN ENGLAND

HOMESTAY 2008 - 2009

Why stay with a “Homestay” host family?

Staying in a family home is an excellent way of experiencing the English way of life, with the added opportunity to practise and develop your English language skills outside the class room.

Miles Ahead Learning Student Services Homestays

We aim to provide students with a home away from home. All our host families are interviewed and the homestay accommodation is carefully selected by our trained “Accommodation Assessors” following inspection against British Council standards and guidelines.

What to Expect

The host will provide you with accommodation and meals as booked - a clean, comfortable room and good quality living conditions, clean bed linen and towel changes at least once a week. You will be provided with a house key. You choose the type of Host family accommodation that you want and we will endeavour to place you with a family that can meet your specific requirements. English is always the main language spoken in the home.

For more information about what to expect, please check our Student Guidelines.

Accommodation Zone

Homestays are located in London, mainly in  travel zones 2, 3, 4 and 5
These are residential areas close to shops, cinemas, restaurants and parks, and also swimming pools, libraries and other public and community facilities. The travelling distance to the centre of London is between 35 and 50 minutes. All our homestays are close to underground/train stations or on bus routes, providing easy access to the centre of London.

Our experienced staff can help you to find the accommodation you want, with one of our host families. Living in London can be stressful but our friendly staff are always ready to give you advice and any help you may need.

If you would like us to arrange accommodation for you, please send a deposit of the first two weeks’ rent so that we can reserve a room on your behalf with one of our host families.
